January (was a) Dump
It was truly a long month, and I waddled through it in a succession of unimaginative outfits...
Please excuse the prolonged silence — January is not my month, and this one has been particularly cold and wet where I spent most of it. I was also grounded and unable to travel, which meant missing all the fashion weeks and, most painfully, Copenhagen. I love the city and, having attended its fashion week twice, I’ve grown to think of it as the perfect, inspiring warm-up for the women’s shows.
So, stuck in a cold, dark and damp Dublin, I mostly read, wrote, pondered, and wore the same casual outfits on repeat. As we edge into a more promising February — which my son insists marks the beginning of spring, though my Siberian soul remains unconvinced — I can at least sense brighter days (and fashion) on the horizon.
